Extra mention (see full blog post for the week below)
Thank you to Kirsty (Red/Green class parent) who brought in her bunny Rosie for the class to enjoy. It was a perfect little Easter treat just before our disco! We loved seeing her and finding out lots of new things about rabbits!

Dream catchers
Orange Class have helped with writing the blog this week - the words here are from the class.
Orange Class have been making beautiful dream catchers. First we designed our dream catchers. We had to think about what we would use. We made a list of things we would need. We drew our dream catchers and used lots of different colours. On the bottom of our dream catchers we put things that make us happy because a dream catcher scares away bad dreams like in the BFG.
Here we are making them...
Fantastic weaving skills Orange Class - this activity took a lot of patience and you had to be so resilient like Tigger. Well done you! Have a fantastic weekend all!

Science Week
Another busy week at Sutton this week! On Thursday, the children took part in Science Day with their friends from arcross the Federation.
Our theme for the day was 'exploration and discovery' and there were several activities set up around the school which gave the children the opportunity to test out their scientific skills.
Activities included 'confusing cans' where children explored how objects move and roll at different angles, 'citizen science' which looked at how we can tackle our Earth's waste issues, 'brilliant birds' which involved studying birds and their nests, 'Shackleton's ship' which saw children testing a range of materials and shapes to create strong and effective floating vessels and 'animal experience' which, well...had children meeting and experiencing some exciting animals!
A fantastic day was had by all and a big well done and thank you to our fantastic children who, as always were on top form. You all behaved impeccably and were so helpful to our friends (children and staff) from Catfield and Hickling. I felt very proud of you all. Have a super weekend!
